What is the cheapest way to travel & stay in Amsterdam?
Me & a friend are planning a 4 day holiday from the UK to Amsterdam soon. We want to travel and stay for as little as possible. We are probably going to travel there by coach then stay at a hostel. Is this the cheapest way and does anyone have any experience/tips for travelling & sleeping rough?
Check out Couchsurfing.com It may be cheaper than a hostel and much nicer. Plus you will meet some locals, which is always a big help.
Hostels are cheap, but some come with restrictions and lock outs or fill up so make reservations if you can. Eating cheap in Amsterdam is easy and you’ll have tons of choices. Check out the Albert Heine (AH) markets for already made meals, sandwiches at much less than in a eatery. Beer and cokes are about a quarter the price in AH than any of the little shops or snack bars.
Have fun!

How do i make my internet wireless and open so I can make a connection with my Wii?
Sorry if this question doesn’t make sense, as I don’t know that much about internet settings like these and internet connection with Wii.
If the question doesn’t make sense could you try explaining the whole wireless internet thing.
Where do I look to find my wireless router security ID?
To have wireless internet you need a wireless internet ROUTER, they sell these everywhere from walmart to radioshack, best buy, circuit city, everywhere, they range from 50 to 70 for a nice basic router. once you have set up your router you simply connect with your Wii, if you dont know much about computers, your best bet is to have someone who does set the router up for you.
Any suggestions on what hobbies to pick up?
My friend and I want to pick up a new hobbie but we dont know what we want to do. We had ideas just as scrapbooking, learn a new language etc.. I want to hear what hobbies you guys are into, or any ideas maybe my friend and I will pick it up too.
Forgot to mention that we would like ideas that are not physical.
My boyfriend and I took a french class together, that was really fun. Also might I suggest a cooking class, or flower arranging? These all seemed to be very popular classes at the college here. Another one I would like to try is photography. I love taking pictures and to learn how to make the most of them would be great, then you would have something really nice to scrapbook!
What is the future of stamp collecting? Will it be a hobby of older people?
It seems to me that so few ppl write letters these days using stamps and that interest in stamps and collecting them are also competing with the internet and video games. Your thoughts? I will continue to collect stamps for fun, but am not sure that they will be a good investment if the number of collectors fall.
I know some Jung people interested in collecting stamps. I can see some reasons due to is collecting stamps rare hobby. For example expensive postage – I think it could be much more cheaper or let the post office make an special price for philatelists registered in clubs.
I hope philately will become "cool" in future
. Also for this reason I use web page for all collectors – http://www.stampsclub.info
How do I start a clothing or outer wear company?
I have been wanting to start my own clothing company for a few years, but I dont know how to get it off the ground. Its a skate/snowboard company, and I have a bunch of cool designs for t-shirts, hoodies, and jeans. Where do I go to get my designs printed onto clothing garments? I have no idea. Can anyone help me out? Thanks
Check out comapnies like http://www.eternalsnow.com/
or other major snow/skate retailers. See what brands they are carrying and get a feel for what styles and types of clothing are selling well. Then start small and see if you can get your items carried by one of them. You can find alocal screen printer to do some of your designs and see if they sell well.
How much does it cost to access internet on a Sprint phone?
I don’t have unlimited internet, just unlimited messaging.
Also, is the picture messaging fit under the unlimited messaging plan?
Please don’t tell me how much it costs for the unlimited plan that includes internet. I do not have that, and do not want to know.
I solely want to know how much it costs to access the internet for picture messaging when I do not have an unlimited internet plan.
They charge 3 cents per kb. Cost will depend on how large the image file size is. If you want to lower your Sprint bill try www.onlinebillreview.com. I cut my bill in half. My bill used to be $150 a month.
Do you have any unique or interesting hobbies?
I am writing an essay for my English comp class. For the essay i need to interview people about their favorite hobbies.I decided i am going to write a series of short stories for each person interviewed. If anyone would please take the time to contribute a story of their hobby it would be greatly appreciated. You can talk about what got you into your hobby, what you gain from your hobby, how society percieves your hobby, emotional allure, etc.
Thank you.
Hi Jason,
I’m a soap maker, a cold-process soap maker, which means I take fats/oils, water/milk, and lye to make soap. I also use essential oils to scent my soaps, and items such as calendula petals, rose petals, powdered oatmeal, poppy seeds, and cornmeal to give interesting texture and cleansing abilities (exfoliators).
I wanted to learn to make soap since I was 15 years old, but since I am a hands-on learner and learn best by watching and doing, I felt a bit out of my league with teaching myself. Then when I was about 38 years old, I came across a book about making home made soaps. I read through this book several times, began to buy and assemble items I would need, and within a couple of months I was making soaps. It is time consuming, can be expensive, and is something that you do not use right away as soap must cure out for several weeks before it is safe to use.
I also love the creative outlet that soap making allows me as I can make my own recipes, use other’s recipes, modify other’s recipes, and experiment with various fats and oils. Soaps can be made from animal fats such as lard and tallow (rendered beef suet) to vegetable and nut oils such as olive, vegetable oil, shortening, sunflower, almond, safflower and corn oils. Shea butter, hemp oil, and jojoba oil, cocoa butter, and coconut oil can also be used. It is a very diverse choice that I have to choose from.
I also love to bake and make all kinds of goodies from angel food cakes to gingerbread to homemade marshmallows. I also bake breads of all kinds such as quick breads made from fruits and baking soda to yeast-raised and sourdough breads. I have taught classes on bread making as it is such a fun and satisfying craft.
I love to make all kinds of bread, from the tradtional sour doughs to sweet and savory breads. I like to make traditional loaves, braids, bow knots, and even doughnuts and tortillas. I taught myself to make bread when I was 15 years old and have been experimenting with various flours. One is not limited to basic white flour as there is millet, spelt, rye, and amaranth, among others, that can be made into hearty loaves. A good hearty loaf of peasant-style bread is a great gift to take to friends.
I buy whole wheat berries and grind my own wheat in a hand-cranked mill that makes the best flour. In this way I get the freshest and most wholesome product with minimal work.
I love self-sufficiency and being able to make my own things without relying on others for all of my needs. Being a fiercely independent person, I have taught myself many, many things since I was a young teen. I have many other interests, but these two hobbies are ones I not only enjoy doing for myself and my family, but that I also enjoy teaching to others. There is a great deal of satisfaction in knowing one has made the items that one uses and consumes. And I know the quality of the products that goes into my creations. I can easily buy a bar of soap from the store, but how much better to reach for a bar of organic soap made from a combination of oils of my choosing, with the heady scent of lavender and patchouli to fill my nostrils. Or I might have a bar made from olive oil and nut oils, scented with cinnamon, clove, and orange. The possibilities are endless.
