PostHeaderIcon Do you know any other card games that are a lot of fun to play other than Skip Bo, Crazy 8 or Uno?

I have a young baby so free time is sometimes difficult to find. We don’t always have time to watch movies as they last a good 2 hours. We want to know if there are any 2 player card games that are alot of fun like Skip Bo, Crazy 8 or UNO. Please if you know of any, let us know.

Palace 1vs1
Spit- 1vs1
Garbage 1vs1
Cops and stoners (at least 6) Hand each person out a card but dont’ look at it. Make sure that there is an ace and a jack in the cards that your handing out, (other cards can be random) the ace is trying to find the jack and bust him. The person who has the jack is trying to make a deal with the other players that aren’t the ace. Game win- if the jack makes a deal with everybody Game win- if ace finds the jack and busts him/her.

PostHeaderIcon Any good card games to play with friends?

I don’t mean lame games like collecting cards, i.e. yugioh cards and baseball cards, I mean games like Mau, Spades, Garbage…

Card games like those…

Does anyone have like a list of those kind? And guides on how to play them would be great aswell.

poker if thats what your into

We play whats called Marino Rummy we use 2 normal decks with 8 jokers. if you play with more than 6 people u can use another deck. You are dealt 11 cards every hand, and every hand you need to lay down a set amount no less
1. 2 sets of 3cards
2. 1 set of 3cards and 1 run of 4
3. 2 runs of 4
4. 3 sets of 3
5. 2 sets of 3, 1 run of 4
6. 2 runs of 4, 1 set of 3
7. LAST HAND 3 runs of 4 ** also you are dealt 12 cards, and you must go out when u lay your hand down

when a person has no cards left the hand is over and everyone moves to the next, you count up how many points for each round by face value 7+7pts, queens, jacks, kings=10, aces=15, jokers left in hand =50

lowest score wins after 7 hands
you can only "play on" what other people laid down after you have laid down for that hand. It does work as a draw and discard game. but you can get a card that the person infront of you discarded simply by saying "I’ll buy it" then you take an extra card off the top of the deck as penalty or bonus

it is a fun game that we’ve played with the family for years, if thats what you are looking for and want to know more email me

PostHeaderIcon What are some good one person card games to play (excluding any type of solitaire)?

I’m looking for card games that don’t necessarily have to be played on a surface like solitaire. Preferably, something unusual, maybe something i could play with a 52 card deck, and something to keep me occupied.
Any help on this would be great.

theres a few games, theres hand and foot, theres garbage, spades, hearts….hand and foot, and garbage are very challenging, and we play all the time since last summer. if your interested just email me and ill give you directions on how to play.

gin rummy/rummy or some varient of sorts & egyptian ratscrew are what my friends and i like to play.

PostHeaderIcon Can anyone tell me any fun board games or card games?

My cousins and I play card games and board games almost every night during summer. Are there any fun board games and card games? And, how do you play the card game?

Axis and Allies is a really great board game: it gets you thinking strategically, like Risk, but is more detailed, has more action, and is just generally more fun. You can play with up to five people. It can take a long time to play, though, so either plan to take a few hours or leave it set up and play over a couple of days (as long as no one cheats and moves pieces around while you’re not playing!).

Rummy 500 is a fun card game my family plays all the time. Here’s the rules:

http://www.pagat.com/rummy/500rum.html

If you want more card games, that website also provides links to every card game imaginable, as well as their rules.

Have fun! :)

PostHeaderIcon Are there any card games for the computer that play skillfully & logically?

The reason I am asking is because I have generally found that most of these games use cheating rather than skillful play to defeat the human player, Microsoft Hearts is a classic example. The human player sees the Queen of Spades way more often than in a game with real people and real cards.

I’ve been playing Hoyle 2007 and as far as I can tell, the only difference among the three skill levels is that on the high level, my computer partner in Spades and Euchre plays less-well and so I have to be more careful. Oh yeah, and in Hoyle Spades, the human player generally is dealt the ace of spades so you can almost never bil nil.

So what I am asking is if there is a computer card game suite that I can buy that deals the cards randomly and plays skillfully without using cheats?

well, theres zone.com. It has all of those games, and you’re playing against humans…mostly. They are all free too.
