PostHeaderIcon Equipment needed for High School Baseball?

What equipment is needed for High School baseball? I know the basics like cleats, glove, bat, helmet batting gloves and what else? I’ve never played for a team before and want to know what to get. For high school baseball do i get a senior bat or a adult? Ive played baseball before and im pretty good at it but I never played for a team.

I guess it depends on the league/team regs but usually -3 weight difference for bats. Like 31 inch/28 ounce, 32/29, etc. For bat type you need to go by what you’re looking for/ what you’re good at. Glove length can’t go over 12 3/4 unless you’re a first basemen. Most people don’t check or anything though. Be sure to cook your glove too to losen it. Go tp a Dunhams or Dicks and they shuold have it in a little spray can. It has directions with it. Pay attention to webbing too. Depending on your position you may need sunglasses, preferably wraparounds or something that cover your full vision. Eye-black is an alternative but they are not as effective. I wear both but I am also an outfielder so I am always in the sun. Helmets and all that have to be APPROVED stuff. They have something written on them. Can’t remember what though. Most things are approved though sooo. Ohh and GET METAL CLEATS. They’re a lot better once you get used to them. You’ll probably need a bat bag to hold it all. You’ll need sliding shorts if you plan on not bruising your legs. Trust me you want them or you can get bruises the size of watermelons on your thighs. I don’t know what they will provide for you every team gives out a jersey and hat but you may need to buy socks and baseballpants if not provided. Wear your socks pulled up like a real baseball player too, not like all these slobs who were em like pants. Thats a mouth-full but thats about all you need. Well you don’t NEED sliding pants and sunglasses but they are what I always use based on my experiences and it is what I strongly suggest. Oh and a cup. For god’s sake a cup. YOU WILL regret it if you don’t wear one. TRUST ME. I made that mistake 2 or 3 times.

PostHeaderIcon Why do baseball players throw their equipment after they strike out?

Why do baseball players throw their equipment (bat, helmet) after they go down strike out. I see it in Major League Games all the time??

Why do they do it???

Because they are immature and throw tantrums.

PostHeaderIcon What is the best video camera or piece of video equipment for baseball?

I am looking for a video camera or something of the like that will allow me to videotape myself hitting and pitching for baseball. I do not want anything fancy, just something that is very affordable that will let me go in slow motion to analyze my swing and pitching mechanics. Any suggestions on type, cost, and places to find things would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

I recommend JVC GR-DA30US MiniDV Camcorder with 30x Optical Zoom
